The term Ping Pong is a trademarked name for the game also known as table tennis. John Jacques registered "Ping Pong" as a trading name in England in the year 1901, then the rights for the name were sold to the Parker Brothers. Fun Fact: It is also called "whiff-whaff" in England.
Ping Pong and Table Tennis are the same sport before 2011. Ping pong commonly relates to garage players while table tennis is for sporty ones.
